Barbara Bernrieder was born in Hausham (Germany) in 1970 and lives in Munich. She creates her freestyle color combinations with the canvas placed on the floor, tilting it occasionally to influence the flow of paint. Various layers of paint are superimposed on one another, with the upper layer sometimes acting like a glaze and sometimes covering the lower layer altogether, thus creating spatial worlds of color. Bernrieder works with mixed materials, combining acrylic paint with car paint. |
Barbara Bernrieder (*1970 in Hausham, lebt in München) Ihre freien Farbkombinationen entstehen, während der Bildträger auf dem Boden liegt und - sofern der Farbfluss beeinflusst werden soll - zur Seite gekippt wird. So werden unterschiedliche Farbschichten teils deckend, teils lasierend übereinander gelegt und bilden räumliche Farbwelten. Bernrieder verwendet dabei eine Mischtechnik aus Acryl und Autolack.
